Here are just a few of the interesting executive changes making the headlines over this past week.

Murphy New CEO at Western Asset Mortgage

California-based REIT firm Western Asset Mortgage Capital named Jennifer Murphy as the new CEO, effective at the first of June. In 2015 Murphy joined the company as the COO of its external manager, Western Asset Management. Zynga Has a New Head Exec

Social game provider Zynga appointed 25-year veteran Frank Gibeau the new CEO as founder Mark Pincus took over the role of executive chairman. For two decades Gibeau learned his craft while in various leadership positions at Electronic Arts prior to joining Zynga. During his stint at EA Mobile, he managed such notable franchises as The Simpsons, Minions, and EA Sports, just to name a few. At EA Labels, Gibeau led the development of Madden NFL, FIFA, Battlefield, and many other console and PC properties.

In April Peter Harrison will take the reins at UK-based asset management firm Schroders. Harrison rejoined the company in 2013 as the head of equities and moved to head of investment in 2014. His 26-year career in investment management has included stints at Deutsche Asset Management, JP Morgan, Newton Investment, and RWC Partners.
