Tufano Meets the Benchmark
Electronics parts manufacturer Benchmark Electronics has hired a new president and CEO. Paul Tufano replaces Gay Delly, who resigned from her positions as president and CEO to pursue other interests effective immediately. Tufano joined the company’s board of directors this February and has spent over 35 years in technology and telecommunications. He was CFO of Alcatel-Lucent Group for five years and COO for two more. Prior to Alcatel-Lucent, he served as EVP and CFO at Solectron. He’s also had a stint at Maxtor as both COO and CFO, and held management positions in finance and operations at IBM.
Freidheim Leaves CDI to Pursue Other Interests
Engineering and information technology outsourcer CDI Corp. announced that its president and CEO, Scott Freidheim, has resigned. He is being replaced by CFO Michael Castleman, who has been promoted to president and will also assume the title of interim CEO until Freidheim’s permanent replacement can be secured. Castleman joined the company in October 2014 as EVP corporate development and operations and was promoted to CFO in March of last year. He previously worked for Kenmore as president of its Crafts and Diehard brands. Prior to his executive career, Castleman founded or co-founded several investment firms, including Lehman Brothers Venture Partners.
Aaron Tries on President’s Coat at G-III
Licensed sportsware, designer clothing, and leather apparel manufacturer G-III Apparel Group has appointed Sammy Aaron as its new president. Aaron is currently vice chairman of the company’s board. He also holds the title of CEO, Calvin Klein division. Prior to joining G-III, Aaron was the president of women’s coat maker Marvin Richards. Morris Goldfarb is retaining his titles of chairman and CEO.
