Deitemeyer Gets in the Fast Lane at Interstate
Property management and hospitality industry giant Interstate Hotels and Resorts named its new CEO. Mike Deitemeyer comes to Interstate from Omni, where he was president for 13 years. He worked his way up the ladder through roles in operations, development, sales, and finance and also serves on the board for the American Hotel and Lodging Association. Deitemeyer replaces CEO Jim Abrahamson, who will remain on the board as chairman.
The Chips Are Falling Where They May at Peregrine Semiconductor
Electronics component manufacturer Peregrine Semiconductor is undergoing a management restructure. In a bold move, current CEO Jim Cable is taking on the dual roles of chairman and CTO and giving his CEO title to Stefan Wolff. Cable will also head global research and development at Peregrine parent Murata. Wolff’s most recent job is as VP and general manager with Intel’s mobile communications division in Germany. He brings with him a total of 15 years’ management experience including time spent at Infineon, Siemens Mobile, and Bosch. Simultaneously, Peregrine is appointing a new COO, Dylan Kelly. He’s being promoted from his previous position as VP and general manager with Peregine’s mobile wireless solutions.
AIA Group CEO Tucks into Retirement
Life insurance and wealth management company AIA Group has announced that president and CEO Mark Tucker is retiring. He led the company since its 2010 spinoff from AIG and concurrent IPO. Tucker is being replaced by Ng Keng Hooi on September 1. Ng is currently AIA’s regional chief executive, managing the two biggest business divisions of AIA Company Limited and AIA International Limited. He’s been in his current role for over six years and has more than 37 years of life insurance industry experience.
