In a sudden flurry of lawsuits BP has sued Transocean, Cameron International, and Halliburton over their roles in the Deepwater Horizon rig disaster. Countersuits have followed. It is not a fit of pique but a calculated strategy by BP to get other companies to pick up some of the bill for the disaster.
