Bill Gross, co-founder of Pacific Investment Management Co., left the bond mutual fund after four decades to manage a new fund at Janus Capital Group. Gross, who managed the $222 billion Pimco Total Return fund, is said to have left the company due to “fundamental differences” with PIMCO CEO Douglas Hodge on the direction of the company. PIMCO is expected to announce a successor to Gross before the end of the month.

In an update last week, D&B Editor Adam Anderson wrote about Graphic Packaging Holding, a FORTUNE 1000 maker of laminated, coated, and printed packaging (think cereal boxes, frozen pizza boxes, beverage cartons). The company reported record-setting revenue of about $4.5 billion in 2013 amid growth in Europe, where sales nearly tripled.
